Graduates of the Exercise and Sport Science program can work in a variety of professional settings including commercial fitness centers, private training facilities, high school and collegiate athletic programs, sports performance centers, corporate wellness programs, community recreation facilities, as well as teaching physical education and coaching youth, high school, or collegiate sports. Work environments may include gyms, weight rooms, athletic fields and courts, classrooms and health clubs. CTE Endorsement

Students must successfully meet the academic and attendance criteria for a two-year Wilson Tech Certificate of Completion, be High School diploma eligible, and pass the following national certification exam: National Council on Strength and Fitness – Pre-Professional Personal Trainer.

About the instructor

Adam Lievre is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as teaching certifications in Physical Education, Health Education, and Personal Training. He earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Salisbury University (MD) and a master’s degree from Stony Brook University.
