Dental Chairside Assisting

A two-year program that develops the skills and knowledge to prepare students to work chairside with a dentist. Coursework covers a wide range of subjects from preparing dental materials and radiology to processing insurance and assisting with practice management.

Post-Secondary Opportunities

Upon successful completion of the Dental Chairside Assisting program many students continue their studies to prepare for jobs as a Dental Assistant, Dental Receptionist, Dental Office Manager, Dental Hygienist, Lab Technician, or Dentist.

Work EnvironmentCourse Outline
The Wilson Tech classroom replicates a functioning dental office with the most current equipment and software. Through partnerships cultivated with local dentists, qualifying students will be afforded the opportunity to participate in off-site clinical practice.

*Note: Additional medical requirements are necessary for full participation in this program including but not limited to a physical (beyond what the school requires). These requirements are subject to change as per current health guidelines.


CTE Endorsement

Students must successfully meet the academic and attendance criteria for a two-year Wilson Tech Certificate of Completion, be High School diploma eligible, and pass the following exam: National Occupational Competency Testing Exam (NOCTI) – Dental Assisting Exam.
