Tech’s alternative program will help you complete your high school education and earn a high school diploma. The diploma would be from your home high school. This program is for teens in grades 10-12 who have had some problem adjusting to high school. You may remain in the program for as long as necessary to meet the requirements for your diploma. Tech offers flexible hours from 8 am to 4:15 pm to help meet your needs.

If you have been out of school (grade 9 or above) for at least one year, you may be eligible to earn your GED through Wilson Tech. In this program students attend classes at least 14 hours per week. The program is also offered in Spanish.

This one-year program is for ninth graders at risk of academic failure. This program will help prepare you to return to a regular classroom schedule in your high school.

If you are under age 21 and not currently enrolled in school, this program offers GED preparation, academic remediation, English classes, your choice of Tech’s 32 career and technical programs, counseling, child care, transportation, and support services.

Tech helps teen parents prepare for success!
|
This program is for pregnant and/parenting students. Students participate in academic coursework so they can complete high school and pursue one of Tech’s 32 career and technical programs so they can learn a skill for the workplace. Child care for their children is available in the Little Tots Child Care Center. Parenting classes help students learn how to care for infants and very young children. Tech offers both a full-day and half-day options.

With a connection to the internet, students in grades 10-12 can now complete or supplement their high school education at their own pace. Western Suffolk BOCES, always an innovative leader in education, now offers the area’s first Online High School. Students can log on whenever and wherever they choose to study.
